This specialized seminar is designed for security teams, bodyguards and bouncers seeking practical, hands-on training in safely managing potentially violent individuals using various pain compliance techniques. The program focuses on de-escalation tactics, non-lethal control techniques, situational awareness, and coordinated team responses tailored to high-stress environments. Participants will learn how to assess threats, use verbal and physical intervention strategies responsibly, and operate within legal and ethical boundaries. Emphasis is placed on minimizing harm while maintaining a secure environment for congregants, patrons, and staff.
This reality-based training will address real-life scenarios taken from actual events occurring here in the United States and those abroad. By the end of this seminar, you will learn various takedowns and methods of restraint to remove passive protestors and control dangerous/violent individuals. This seminar is not only for security professionals, but also bouncers, hospital staff and a host of other professions that may encounter a violent individual.
John presently holds the rank of Expert Level 1 in Krav Maga, has been practicing for over 14 years and is the California State Director for the International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF). John has also been certified as a Tactical Shooting Instructor, an armed and unarmed bodyguard instructor and has successfully participated in and passed the IKMF Combat Fighter's Instructor Course. In addition to Krav Maga, John has trained in Muay Thai, Kali and also holds a Blue Belt in Gracie Combatives, as well as a Blue Belt in sport BJJ. ATTIRE: Wear comfortable clothing (t-shirt & sweat pants/leggings). Leave all jewelry (earrings, piercings, rings, etc) at home. Though we will train barefoot, please wear some type of comfortable shoe/sandel into the gym. Don't forget to bring water!
